Four!

DSCN0612

One, two, three, four,
Tell me I won’t break four more.

I cracked another Taiwanese mass produced aluminum Paragon frame.  That makes four, in case you’re counting.  I’ve had this frame since November, and it lasted six weeks longer than I predicted.

I like the complete bike overhauls that a broken frame affords, but this is getting old. I wonder if it’s time for an upgrade:

  1. Between the title of your post and your bad luck with frames, maybe it's time to take up golf.

  2. Get a felt team carbon. I love mine.

  3. aluminum = no fatigue limit.
no fatigue limit + cantilevered seat tube = frame failure.
Poor design. Every one will fail in this exact location, guaranteed.

  4. I think its time to pick up welding and fix your own bike.
BTW I caved and bought a street bike. Come to my funeral when I get ran over. Switzerland is pretty and funerals only last a couple of hours.
    Cheers.
